Here is a bit more about your role as a Incepta Support worker:

  • You will be a valued team member helping to provide services to support clients’ individual needs in both their home and community.

  • We work around your availability, with shifts available at all times and days

Additional Duties for this role include but are not limited to:

  • Working with participants with complex behaviours which may involve physical/verbal aggression.

  • General Domestic Duties.

  • Personal Care.

  • Transportation.

  • Social and Community Participation.

Your Key Responsibilities Include:

The Opportunity

  • Build rapport and collaborate effectively with staff/management, participants, their family, and friends to achieve a positive outcome and ensure a smooth service delivery flow throughout the participants' plan.

  • Assist with liaising with participants' families and friends to explore new goals, ambitions, promote and empower participants to achieve their goals and provide a medium of solid communication.

  • Increase participants skills with your active support and promote independence by enhancing their skills and personal development.

  • Provide quality and professional support in line with participants plans, needs, and wants.

  • Assisting participants with accessing their social community to engage with their friends and social groups to promote a healthier lifestyle.

  • Implement strategies and programs to develop/enhance participant skills, identify areas of increased support and opportunities for services to help achieve their goals.

As a support worker in our team, you will be responsible for supporting individuals with daily living skills, assisting with social and recreational activities, implementing and monitoring practices that will promote a healthier lifestyle, and empowering participants to help them achieve their goals. The role will involve working with participants with both low and complex needs. Some may need assistance with medication prompts, and others may show complex behaviours. Experience and professionalism are highly recommended.

Your role

As a member of our team, you are instrumental to our participants’ accessing the services they need to dream big and live great. You are their key contact for accessing the services they need and ensuring that their plan works in their best interests. 

You will be responsible for:

  • Working in consultation with participants and their families to find the services and supports that best match their needs and funding. 

  • Coordinating services and supports, liaising with government agencies and multidisciplinary support teams, obtaining quotes, and organising service agreements.

  • Providing advice to potential participants, carers, parents etc. on a range of issues relating to disability services and access requirements.

  • Building and maintaining relationships with our participants, their families, staff, peers, other services, and stakeholders.

  • Working within funding allocations, regularly monitoring and tracking billable coordination hours.

  • Fostering and promoting growth in the Incepta client base. 

Your skills and experience

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role i.e. intake officer, business development or support coordination, in the disability sector (NDIS model) – minimum 2 - 3 years. 

  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in working within NDIS systems and protocols.

  • The ability to effectively communicate, network and liase with a range of stakeholders from professional and diverse backgrounds.

  • Demonstrated participant centred focus.

  • High attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task and complete documentation and administrative work in a timely manner.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in successfully working as a team to achieve business development goals and targets.

Office Administration / Receptionist

Your role

Your role at Incepta is essential. You are the face and voice that answers the initial enquiries of our participants and their families, their first contact. You are also often the central ‘go to’ person for our staff, providing key support directing queries, troubleshooting general office problems and assisting staff to manage timely workflow. It is your knowledge of the disability sector, the NDIS, our staff and services that plays a vital role in Incepta working at its best, as a friendly and informed organisation assisting the disability community.

You will be responsible for:

  • Servicing our office and reception from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

  • Responding and forwarding enquiries made in person, or via phone, email or social media. 

  • Providing assistance with preparation of written materials such as advertising brochures, reports, presentations, meeting minutes etc and managing and updating key information databases.

  • Providing administrative support to the management team, wider office staff and day program.

  • Ensuring all Incepta’s social media accounts are updated regularly.

  • Monitoring and reordering office supplies, trouble shooting and organising technical assistance. 

Your skills and experience

  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the disability sector (NDIS) working in a similar role, i.e. as a support worker, receptionist, office administration etc – minimum 1 year . 

  • The ability to communicate professionally and appropriately with a diverse range of stakeholders, but particularly those with disability.

  • Excellent written communication skills, with high attention to detail.

  • Excellent organisational skills including the ability to multi-task, pre-plan and trouble shoot. 

  • A high degree of computer proficiency across word processing, database, spreadsheet and email functions with the capability to become operationally familiar with new systems and programs quickly. 

  • A high degree of social media proficiency and literacy, with the ability to administrate accounts appropriately.
